From the Marvel Universe card set, an amazing Hulk artist proof from Frank Kadar in the World War Hulk gear! The Hulk’s profile has definitely been lifted after the Avengers movie rather than the two stand alone movies with Eric Bana (ewww on the giant poodle) and Edward Norton. The line that stole the Avenger’s movie “I am always angry“.

In May 2011, I showcased a preview page of The Trials and Tribulations of Miss Tilney by writer David Doub. Artwork by Sarah Elkins, colors by Danielle Alexis and letters by Joamette Gil
The full comic has now been released!
You can now pick up a copy from Amazon.
“Plucky cub reporter Henrietta Tilney sits face to face with accused mass murderer Lord Beowulf Harwood. An interview she hoped would launch her writing career soon explodes into a whirlwind of deadly adventure, taking Tilney and the mysterious Harwood across Victorian London.”

I was a provided a preview copy of the 1st part. The writing is very crisp and really fits in the mold of the period of this piece. It would be great to get a longer backstory of Harwood but I’m guessing that’ll be in the next installment.
David will be available in the upcoming conventions!
Be sure to stop by and check out his work if you are attending.

Featured artist Di Amorim (who recently launched his website) has some new artwork on eBay. He’s been experimenting a little with a more “art nouveau” incorporating the background. Love the Supergirl piece with the flower in her hair!

Di Amorim has launched a new website showcasing his and other artists’ artwork. (Most are available for sale if interested!) :
http://amorimcomicart.com/

Why did you create the site?
To help publicize my work and art of some of the artists that I represent.
How did you find the other artists?
Most are my friends and others I found on facebook or were friends of friends.
What would you like your site to become?
I hope my site can be a place for people who like comics and a chance for people to own my work and the work of my friends.

Thanks for also providing some new artwork to showcase.
Is this one of your characters?
Yup! This one is the Yanomami Warrior.
Very Cool. How did you come up with the design?
In Brazil the Portuguese invaded the country, really made a mess of things came and killed almost everyone. I guess most people know this story. I wanted a heroine to represent this Brazilian ethnicity which has been overlooked. As part of the design I incorporated some Mayan and Aztec influences and hope to get this published.
Thanks again for your time and good luck with your site and this character!

Previous featured artist Marcio Takara has finished his run of Boom!’s Incorruptible series. I’ve been absolutely loving the series and it was a definite shame to see Marcio leave the series. He’s been brilliant at using his artwork to tell a story.

How long was your run on this series?
My first issue was #11 and I stayed until #27 so 17 issues.
How is it like working on the series?
Great. Boom! Studios is a really nice place to work for. I could not ask for a better editor, Shannon Watters, to work with. Mark Waid is an amazing writer and he was honestly one of the main reasons I worked on Incorruptible for that long. Nolan Woodard was great with the colors as well. So overall it was a great experience and it helped putting my name a little bit more out there.
What are you working on now?
Focusing my attention on Blue Beetle!
Thanks for your time and I’ll be definitely checking out Blue Beetle!

An amazing Shi artist proof 5FINITY sketch card by Frank Kadar currently on sale on eBay. Shi (aka Ana Ishikawa) created by William Tucci was one of the “bad girl” comics in the 90s along with Lady Death. It’s actually a very well written series and definitely worth checking out!
