Indomie Mi Goreng Jumbo – Tom Yum – Instant Noodles
For those who love their instant noodles, I posted about Indomie Mi Goreng with Peri Peri a few days ago. I thought I’d showcase the packets of my two favourite (and best) instant noodles, Indomie Mi Goreng (as you know) and Mama Tomyum noodles. The Tomyum noodles are not for the faint of heart as [...]

Indomie Mi Goreng with Nando’s Peri Peri Sauce – Geek Food
Talking about noodles, one geek food recipe I’ve always wanted to try was Indomie Mi Goreng with Nando’s Peri Peri sauce. The recipe was simple, make the Indomie as per the packet instructions, place an egg on top and add the Peri Peri sauce. It’s a fantastic variant for a late night fast hunger buster [...]

Ryo’s Ramen – Crows Nest
Ryo’s Ramen situated in Crows Nest is one of the trinity of ramen shops in Sydney (which includes Genki in Artarmon & Menya in the CBD). Off the three places, Ryo’s is my favoruite with the queue to get in the only problem. The broth is absolutely fantastic and their ramen is easily the tastiest.

Char Kway Teow – Penang – Sister
As a follow to “What makes a good Char Kway Teow?”, I thought I’d show you what was considered by some as the best Char Kway Teow in Penang. It’s from a shop called Sister’s located on Macalister Road.
I doubt you can find anything even remotely like it anywhere else in the world. Penang [...]

Gyoza – Canon G11 – Photo
Been a while since the last food post and I thought it would be a great opportunity to test out my new Canon G11. Whilst not as sharp as a 40D SLR, it still can create some crisp images even in the below low light conditions with the aperture opened to 2.8. Anyway . . [...]

Burlington Bar and Dining – Steak – Squid – Tiramisu
It’s a been a while since my last food post so I thought I’d slip one more in before 2010 rolls in. Nestled in Crows Nest is Burlington Bar and Dining which has some scrumptious food. I’d let the photos (taken by Toshio) do the talking.

Yum Cha – Zilver
It’s been a while since my last food related post. Thought I’d share some photos taken by Toshio at a recent yum cha (dim sum) in Sydney CBD at a restaurant called Zilver.

Best Cheeseburger
I’ve talked about burgers before but I now have a favourite! It’s a local place which sells mini cheeseburgers (chilli optional extra but highly recommended) that’s a perfect snack. It’s not squashed like in fast food chains but stacked tall with a delectable beef patty.

Tea and Scones
Tea and scones are the perfect afternoon snack (or if you are Malaysia curry puffs are the go!) From a tea shop in Sydney CBD, this one’s a favourite secret spot of mine.

Ramen with pork spare rib
A very traditional ramen with thick broth served by an eatery in one of the food courts in Sydney CBD. The pork spare rib ramen is limited to 10 bowls a day so it’s something I had to try.

The broth was made using over 120kg of pork bones and [...]
