5 Seconds Volume 2 Cover

I have a launch date for 5 Seconds Volume 2! Put the 28th January 10pm (Australian EST) into your calendars. I’m still finalising some of the project and need to do the video but everything is currently on schedule. It’s always tough on the nerves to launch a Kickstarter, it’s sharing a dream and passion with the world.

This is the graphic for a new reward I am offering. It’s an A5 Print. I was thinking it would be great for framing OR you can use it as a bookmark. Not sure how popular this reward will be but I’m happy to introduce into this Kickstarter. Artwork provided by P.R. Dedelis and colours by Peyton Freeman.

Word Smith – Merry Christmas :

This is the A4 Print reward for 5 Seconds Part 2 coming in Feb 2018. It introduces a new character Janet to the story who has an interesting back story. This scene isn’t part of a story but a little play with time using a time turner from Harry Porter.

5 Seconds Vol 2 – A4 Print Reward :

This is one of my favourite pages from 5 Seconds (Part 1) as I had a great time writing the dialogue between Jake and Ellie as they discuss their super villain careers. I try to make it as fun and “slice of life” as possible. 5 Seconds Part 2 will be more of the same and if all goes well launching in Feb 2018.

With the next 5 Seconds story coming in 2018, I’ll be starting to share more images of the coming months. This is a character study of Ellie done by Cheun with and without her trademark red scarf. There’s a lot of work that still needs to be done before the Kickstarter can launch but it’s getting there!

After the previous announcement that 5 Seconds is returning in 2018, I am happy to share the cover sketch. Things are progressing very well to get the next part of 5 Seconds ready. Please keep checking back for the launch date but it’s tentatively set for February 2018.

Update on Word Smith Kickstarter :
Almost all the rewards have now been shipped out. Everything should be out before the end of the week. After that for Australian orders it should take about a week and 3-4 weeks for international orders. I’ve been some great feedback about the story.

5 Seconds Part 2 :

The Word Smith Kickstarter first print was done yesterday! A big thanks to everyone who supported Word Smith with a special call out to Creative Partnerships Australia who matched the KS funding dollar for dollar.

Even though Word Smith is not my first graphic novel, I still feel that same magic when I hold a hard copy in my hands. It’s going to be a crazy next few weeks with signing, packing and shipping the graphic novels out to all corners of the world.
