Ramen with pork spare rib

A very traditional ramen with thick broth served by an eatery in one of the food courts in Sydney CBD. The pork spare rib ramen is limited to 10 bowls a day so it’s something I had to try.

Ramen with pork spare ribs :

The broth was made using over 120kg of pork bones and was a little too thick for me but I was told this was how this dish is originally made. The pork spare rib was especially tasty although a little difficult to eat with chopsticks.

Exterior of the shop :

Worth trying although next time I’ll be taking the option for the less thick version of the soup!

Yep, the soup does look thick – looks more like gravy. Ribs will be a bit messy to eat no way you can eat with chopsticks. I dun mind trying other stuff in the menu though.

There’s a lighter and less salty soup as well. They have the standard stuff on the menu like gyoza etc. that’s worth trying out.

XD I’m imagining trying to eat that delicious looking pork with chopsticks! Oh the ramen looks great though, with 120kg of pork bones it must be insanely flavorful!

Very flavourful. It’s so thick you can’t see the noodles sitting at the bottom.

I went just before 12 (Saturday lunch) and noticed 4 other people had ordered it already. However I have heard of people ordering it past 1pm and still getting it. It’s all on the luck of the day.

    Amanda :
    This one’s Japanese. :)
If you’re ever in Sydney I’ll show you where it is.
