From a recent Supanova, I received this awesome Spider-Man sketch from Stuart Immonen. It’s a shame that his run on Ultimate Spider-Man only spanned issue 111 to 133. I personally liked his work better than Mark Bagley or David Lafuente (And they are both also great artists!).

Someone went to Supanova (Sydney pop culture expo) and got me this amazing signed photo from Summer Glau (Terminator – Sarah Connor Chronicles). Need to get this framed and find a place for it on my wall! As much as I loved Summer in Terminator, her cameo as herself on The Big Bang Theory was hilarious! Definitely takes the place as my favourite scene with her.

I wonder how many people will use that line on her now. I can imagine everyone at a convention saying it and just hoping . . perhaps . . it’ll work. (Hehe . . Raj actually had a pretty good shot at it.)

Tim Sale – Autograph – Sketch

Getting the chance to meet Tim Sale was awesome already! Managing to obtain a couple of sketches was the icing on the cake. In the previous post, I sent one of the sketches to a friend of mine.

After dodging the clutches of Gogo, I was fortunate enough to meet superstar artist Tim Sale. Tim’s most recognised works are of Isaac Mendez’s paintings in the TV Series Heroes. Managed to get a couple of graphic novels signed including Batman – Dark Victory, Batman – Long Hallowen and Heroes Vol 1 & 2. He was very pleasant the whole time and even did a couple of sketches for me. Check out tomorrow’s post to see how the sketches turned out.
