Since it’s been a while since my last update, I decided to combine several posts I had been working on into one long post covering a range of different topics. The posts should be a little more regular as things get a little more on track but in the mean time, enjoy!

It’s a been a while since I last did some photo prints but I recently have got some Paris ones listed on eBay. Check out the different styles and if you like ‘em remember to bid high and bid often!

And finally, it’s new TV Season!
With that the return of the regulars like The Big Bang Theory, Fringe and the one I’m most excited with Supernatural. This picks up from the Season 6 cliffhanger where Castiel absorbs the souls from Purgatory to gain a lot of power. This first episode of the season opens various plotline including the new villain Leviathan (not your typical monster of the week), Sam’s wall in his head breaking down and maybe (just maybe) the return of Lucifer.

This episode shows the return of Death in an effort to stop Castiel. Wonder who the “hottie” will be for this seaon. It was Julia Maxwell playing the “Mother of All” in Season 6.

Notre Dame Gargoyle – Paris – Photo – eBay

A while ago I posted a photo of a Gargoyle sitting atop Notre Dame in Paris. I liked how this photo turned out, especially the Paris cityscape in the background. There’s a few photos I’ve listed on my eBay page, bid high and often if you like ‘em or just click on the below photo.

Char Kway Teow – Penang – Sister

As a follow to “What makes a good Char Kway Teow?”, I thought I’d show you what was considered by some as the best Char Kway Teow in Penang. It’s from a shop called Sister’s located on Macalister Road.

I doubt you can find anything even remotely like it anywhere else in the world. Penang is the hawker food capital of the world even compared with the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur! The little sprinkling of crab meat on the top really adds to the flavour. All photos were taken with my trusty Canon G11. The macro shots on this camera is incredible and although not SLR quality, it’s still rather impressive.

Sydney Harbour Bridge – Grass Picnic

Fancy a picnic on the Sydney Harbour Bridge? That’s exactly what happened, they laid out almost 3km of grass to cover the entire motorway for 6000 lucky residents to enjoy a breakfast picnic on the harbour bridge. The predicted rains kept away and it was a sensational morning!

And of course, clowns for entertainment!

For any doubters . . it was real grass!

Photos are courtesy of Toshio. It was nice to be part of this historic event, I doubt that the government will do it again anytime soon. So much food was handed out such as yoghurt, apples, jam and other produce!

Sydney Opera House – Night Photography

Night shot of Sydney’s most iconic landmark, the Opera House. I havem’t done much with long exposures but it was nice to try out some different settings to get interesting effects. I liked how the various coloured lighting reflected on the water.

It’s been a while since I last shared a photo. This was one I took when I visited Japan a while back. I like how the composition of this turned out, there’s an imaginary horizon at the street level with a sea of people at the bottom. And in that sea of people, you have one person in a blue shirt looking bewildered.

American Samoa

American Samoa is one of the smaller Pacific Islands with a population of approx. 68,000. Although adopting a lot of American culture, it wasn’t particularly touristy or developed which is perfect for those seeking a peaceful adventure. With the main source of income derived from exporting tuna, it also boasts the freshest sashimi.

It’s hard to believe how blue the water was.

The main road skirts around the island with small pockets of houses and shops. I like the way the clouds seem to roll across the island.

A small rock formation called “Fatamafuti”. It really seems to exist by itself out in the ocean. If you look carefully there is an odd resemblance to a face.

The weather in American Samoa was very erratic, bright sunshine one second and heavy downpour the next. The humidity can be stifling but nothing a cool swim can’t cure. Leaving in a small twin prop, gave the final chance to look at this tropical island from the sky.

Changed name of rock outcrop to Fatamafuti.

Sydney Harbour – Photo

I’ve had a few visitors outside of Australia who visit this site. I thought I’d share a picture of Sydney taken from the Harbour Bridge taken by amateur photographer Alan L. What I really like about this photo is the vanishing point effect.

Additional Information :
You can walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it affords you the most magnificent views. If you have a little extra cash to spend, you can climb on top of the bridge where the views are even more magnificent! Unfortunately you’re not allowed to bring your own camera to the top.

Paris Skyline from Notre Dame – Photo

This view of the Paris skyline was taken from the top of Notre Dame. I really like the composition and if you look at the horizon, you’ll notice the Eiffel tower. Although taken from the same place this photo is very different to the Garygoyle photo. I refer to this as my “Batman” photo as I would imagine this is how he views the world from the rooftops.
