This episode closes off the Apocalypse story arc with the final battle between Michael and Lucifer. I really enjoyed the episode and the foreshadowing (and narration) by Chuck the prophet. While not the perfect happy ending, it is an ending that closes off a lot of the loose ends. While I’m trying not to spoil too much of the plot, if you haven’t seen the episode, you might want to stop reading now.

Last chance.

I thought the writing was exceptional without a deus ex machina (pun intended) to stop the final fight between the Michael and Lucifer. In the end, Dean and Sam chose family and both Michael and Lucifer (of is he?) trapped again. It was a great wrap up and nice to see Dean finally getting some happiness with Lisa. (Wow . . this is really being to read like a soap opera!)

Anyway . . I’m a little iffy on Season 6. I’ve read it’s a return to the monster of the week episodes whilst trying to repair the relationship between the brothers. Will definitely check it out when it returns to air. Also it would be nice to see if Chuck is really Gabriel, which was hinted at as well.

It’s finally out here in Australia! Iron Man 2 released 28 April 2010 (UK release 30 April 2010 and US/Canada on the 7 May 2010). With Robert Downey Jnr reprising his role as Tony Stark, it’s been getting some rave reviews with Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johansson stealing their scenes as Nick Fury and the Black Widow respectively. Definitely going to try to catch it this weekend, along with Free Comic Book Day on 01 May 2010!

Make sure you stay for the extra ending after the credits! It’s confirmed there’s a little Easter Egg for those willing to wait right until the end of the movie.

Coming out 27 July 2010, I’m eagerly anticipating the release of this one! DC has done a great job on these DVDs (loved the last Green Lantern one)! If the storyline follows the comics, I already know the identity of the Red Hood but it’ll be great to see it translated onto animation. Unfortunately we don’t have Kevin Conroy giving the voice of Batman, this version of Batman seems to sounds very much like Christian Bale’s rendition.

As a plus however Neil Patrick Harris (Barney from How I Met Your Mother) as Nightwing and my favourite bit of casting, Jensen Ackles (Dean from Supernatural) as the Red Hood. His voice and performance (from the short youtube video below) fits what I would imagine Red Hood to sound! Just 2 more months before I can check this out!

As much as I love Elmo, Cookie Monster will always be my favourite of the Sesame Street characters. However Elmo has hosted some incredible guest stars such as Norah Jones, Goo Goo Dolls, Jack Black and an amazing duet with Andrea Borcelli.

According to gizmodo, today is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. That doesn’t quite explain it though. Back in 1982 (16 years before Google.com), Cookie Monster sang the Google song. Don’t believe me? The proof is in the below video!

Cookie Monster has always been one of my favourite characters, I’ve even seen him running a cookie franchise! Here’s to you Cookie Monster.

Doesn’t seem that long ago when I last mentioned New TV Season but it’s definitely the return of old favs like Heroes, Supernatural and Big Bang Theory. So much to watch and much too little time. *happy sigh*
